The Empire State Plaza Performing Arts Center, known as "The Egg" is located in Albany, New York's capital city. The center, which has been in operation since 1978, presents dance, music, theatre and family programming year 'round featuring artists from New York State, the United States and around the world. In addition, the Center commissions and presents recently completed work in its "New Work, New York" series and explores the contributions of New York's legendary perfroming artists in its "New York Living Legacy" program
