Catskill Mountain Foundation, located in the Northern Catskill Mountains in the Town of Hunter is a multi-arts organization with a year-round presenting program. Performances for adult and family audiences are presented primarily in the spring, summer and fall at the Doctorow Center for the Arts, Weisberg Hall, located on Rte. 23A in the Village of Hunter. The DCA seats 166. Performances include classical, pop, jazz, folk and world music, theater, puppetry, mime and other family type performances. The stage at the DCA measures 25' deep by 23' wide. The standard lighting plot includes approximately 30 theatrical lights. Housing is available for guest artists. In 2010, the CMF will open its newly constructed Orpheum Theater in the Village of Tannersville, four miles from the Doctorow Center for the Arts. The new theater is a larger venue, with a stage measuring 36' deep by 60' wide, and including theatrical lighting and sound. The Orpheum will seat 270 people. The Orpheum will be ideally suited to performances of dance, theatre and other larger productions.
