The Center for Creative Education(CCE) operates two sites, one in Kingston and the other in Stone Ridge. The former location is devoted to arts education and is the home of POOK, the Percussion Orchestra of Kingston and of the Energy Dance Companies. These award-winning youth ensembles perform regularly throughout the region. The presenting activity of CCE primarily takes place at a renovated church on Route 209 in Stone Ridge, NY. The venue has excellent acoustics and seats up to 100 people. Our presenting program tends to feature emerging local artists who need a venue in which to perform, touring artists of renown with an emphasis on singer/songwriters, and world music, especially from India, Africa and the Caribbean. For many years the Center operated an artists exchange program with Cuba and many Cuban artists have been in residence at CCE.
